"direct" back into in-home sales

Shure Pets - For all those Paris Hilton-esque pet lovers out there, Shure Pets offers useful and unique products for your furry friends. The biggest home seller of pet products, Shure Pets, says customers today want to see, touch and test products before buying.

"It is a very positive and very different concept," says Melissa Winger, a Shure Pets independent consultant from Bondurant who recently joined the company. "I love pets, so when I found the Shure Pet Web site, I signed up."

Most customers are people who consider their pet a part of the family. (Winger's friend at work once bought a pet gift for her "grand-pet.") Some Shure Pet party hosts invite furry friends to come and sample products, too.

"The line ranges from basics such as shampoos and spritzers, to fun shirts for dogs - and people," Winger says. Leashes, collars, vitamins, bowls, toys, and treats are also in the Shure Pet Catalog.
