Shure Pets Gazette
The Premier Direct Seller of Pet Products
|
Volume IV, July 2006
|
|
|
Dear Pet Lover~
We continue to generate national and international
media expose. The media continues to identify Shure
Pets as the category innovator and the nation's
leading
provider of pet products through home parties.
Yesterday, Tokyo TV ran a segment on one of
our at-home Pet Parties!!
The Pet and Direct Selling industries are growing at a
fast rate (each have doubled in sales over the last
ten years). I would like to encourage each of you to
participate in our business by becoming a Pet
Consultant, hosting a Pet Party or simply attending a
Pet Party. I am sure that you will have a good time
and learn valuable health tips for your pets!
Our only requirement at Shure Pets is a passion for
pets!
I would also like to encourage each of our active Pet
Consultants to attend our Annual Meeting in Chicago
(Jam-fur-ee) this summer. The event is scheduled
the weekend of
August 18-19. (Please see below for more
information). I
look forward to seeing everyone at the convention.
Additionally, I want to share with you the following
sales information:
Sales for the first half of the year are over 50%
greater than the same period in 2005 while
the number of new Pet Consultants increased by
20% from the same period in 2005. I warmly
welcome all our new customers and
Pet Consultants to our team.
Finally, we have been working like a dog
implementing the new backend software. We are
scheduling to 'go live' on Monday, July 17, 2006. We
will send an announcement that day to each of you
would like to thank David and Kristina for their
leadership on this project. We are very excited with
the features and functionality of the software and
believe that we are offering the latest in technology
to you and your customers. Please let us know your
thoughts.

and you don't get to try things out [as you do at a
Shure Pets Party]". To view

Back-end Software: Phase I and II of the
new Pet Consultant software system are complete.
This new
system allows all Pet Consultants to create their own
unique, purr-sonalized replicated websites where
they can track
their sales and genealogy, upload their pictures and
stories and enroll new Pet Consultants directly into
the Shure
Pets business. Phase III (order processing) is
currently being worked
on and tested. We are adding the newest products
and breeds
and are near completion of the replicated sites
(where the customers will order from). Additionally,
we have begun testing the portal sites (where the
Pet Consultants will place their orders). Phase III will
also include more efficient order entry, Pet Party and
fundraiser order entry, order tracking and much
more. The new system already includes a zip code
locator program that allows potential
customers and Pet Party Hosts/Attendees to find the
replicated
website of their local Pet Consultant. This is available
now on the "Get Info" Page at shurepets.com. For
more
information on the software system or to purchase it,
please email kristina.meyer@shurepets.com.

Pet Consultant of the Month: Deanna M. (#486)
Deanna M. (#486 Goodyear, AZ) is a proud
parent to two wonderful children, a Siamese mix cat
(Allie), who was rescued from under her cousin's
house at four weeks, and two Miniature Australian
Shepherd puppies (Tahoe and Sienna) who are eight
months old.
Deanna states, "I first found out about Shure Pets in
Paso Robles, California, while looking through the
Business section of my local newspaper. All the paper
listed was the web address and 'work-at-home'
opportunity. I decided to check it out. I went online
and requested information. Of course it was a
Saturday, so I knew it would be awhile before I heard
anything. I decided to type in Shure Pets on my
Yahoo search engine and E-bay was listed. I looked
at E-bay and it offered the Starter Kit. I contacted
the Consultant, Rob M. (#194 Hunlock Creek,
PA).
We talked for 45 minutes and I
signed up (May 2005).
In September 2005, my family moved from California
to Goodyear, Arizona. What a shock it was to find
out
there were only a few active Pet Consultants here. I
started attending local pet expos to spread the word
about Shure Pets. I knew a big door was opening for
me. I created the 'Dog Days of Summer' Team and
started advertising. Between my advertising and that
of the Shure Pets Pound my team has grown
to seven
Pet Consultants!"
"I love being a Pet Consultant for Shure Pets. I'm a
stay at home mom, so I work my business around my
husband's work schedule. My goal has always been
to have fun and that's what I'm doing. I try to do
at
least two events/parties a month, and I'm starting
to
build a repeat customer base. My success comes
from the great products Shure Pets offers. All my
customers tell me how much they love our shampoos
and conditioners, and they will never switch back. I
also believe I owe some of the success to the
untapped Shure Pets area I live in. I make sure to
make contact with all of my leads and share my story
about Shure Pets. When people get to know me
they know they are not just buying a quality
product, but I will be there to help them in whatever
way I can. It's a package deal!"
"Most importantly, however, I believe in staying
positive and keeping an upbeat attitude. I have
never seen someone achieve their goals by
complaining and being down. That is the first thing a
customer or recruit will see. I look forward to the
changes that will happen when the new backend
software is released, but most of all I look forward to
a long and rewarding career with Shure Pets."

Aussie) and Tahoe (Black Tri Aussie).

Shure Pets Barks of Approval
?I used the Purr-fect Towel (#410) for the first time
last
night on Beary Bear, after a Creamsicle Shampoo
(#112) and Paramount Cream Rinse [Conditioner]
(#109). Instead of three large bath towels to dry his
golden/collie mix fur, the Purr-fect Pet Towel
was all it took! It is absolutely pawsome and now
saves me from washing and drying all those wet bath
towels!? -Susan J. (#1126 Fairfax, VA).
?Oh, by the way, I?m blown away by how nice the
Garden Stones (#762) are and so far my favorite
Spritizer Spray is the 'Ocean Breeze' (#107). I
decided to try it in my office before going to bed last
night to see what I thought and it reminded me of
my trips (so long ago) to Hawaii! Not only did that
bring back some wonder-fur memories, but now I
know how great Kylie is going to smell. Not only that,
but its scent lasted 'til even now! I?m in my office
now nearly 24 hours later and I can still smell it!
Thanks again! I?m still excited about the decision I
made to become a Shure Pets consultant not even a
year ago. I wish I had done it sooner!? -Kari H.
(#701 Vernon, CT).
?I BELIEVE 100%. The products are wonderful. The
shampoos and spritzers are top notch and they make
my dogs and myself so happy. I saw a major
difference when I washed my dogs. I will never buy
anywhere else. That is for sure!?
?Christelle H. (#1112 Las Vegas, NV).
?I was excited to see that my new products came in
today! The Pet Wipes (#142) have a great fresh
scent. I used the new Hooray Spray (#139) right
along with the Tidy Puppy and Kitten Mitten Brush
Combo (#420). My cat was very pleased and if he?s
happy, I?m happy.? -Sandy T (#148 Seabrook,
NH).

Purr-fect Pet Questions and Answers
Q: Why does my dog bark?:
A: Barking comes naturally to any and all canine
breeds. There are a number of reasons why dogs
may bark ranging from boredom, loneliness, hunger,
defense of their territory, or if they are feeling ill.
Make "shure" you learn your dog's clues to decipher
the meaning behind your pooch's bark.
Q: Why does my cat make that awkward, funny
face?
A: Have you seen your cat smell something close up
and then make a funny looking face as a result? Well,
this irregular face is known as the "Flehman"
response seen in other animals as well (including
horses). It is believed that the "Flehman" response
increases the flow of odor to the nose which relays
in-fur-mation to the brain about the smell at a
quicker rate.
Q: Why does my horse toss his head back and
forth? A: If your horse begins to toss his
head, it may be a sign to check the riding equipment.
Check to confirm that everything on the horse is
appropriately sized and not heavy. For example, if
the saddle is heavy on the horse, that can
easily result in a pinched nerve and the horse may be
uncomfortable, and therefore may result in head
tossing.
